Biography
Jessica Maclean is a postdoctoral researcher at the Heart Research Institute, working under the supervision of Professor Shaun Jackson and Associate Professor Simone Schoenwaelder. Jessica received her Bachelor of Biomedical Science at the University of the Sunshine Coast (Hons I) in 2012, and in 2014, joined Professor Jackson's research team at the Australian Centre of Blood Diseases as a research assistant.
Jessica completed her PhD studies into novel thrombolytic therapies for stroke in 2020 at the Heart Research Institute/University of Sydney. Her research interests focus on understanding blood clot development in stroke and investigating new thrombolytic drugs for vascular diseases.
