We have previously shown the presence of activated neutrophils and downstream mediators in vulnerable plaque from ACS patients (PMID: 27913753).

Here we will investigate the ability of colchicine to stabilise vulnerable coronary plaque via suppression of neutrophil function in ACS patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.
